Comments

As with most of the other views of the Golden Gate Bridge, this one gets more interesting as the weather gets worse. This spot gets a lot of afternoon fog. You'll lose sun in mid-afternoon, but the dark side of the bridge makes a moody silhouette effect as the fog washes out the colors anyway. If you're lucky or patient, you can find a sun ray or two hitting part of the scene that you can effectively isolate by means of having it be the only spot in the image where the colors aren't washed out by the fog.

Access

From San Francisco, cross the bridge on US 101. The return trip will cost $5. Exit at Alexander Road, the second exit north of the bridge. At the stop sign turn right onto Sausalito Lateral Rd. Follow Sausalito Lateral Rd. 0.8 miles down the hill and turn right (almost a U-turn) onto East Rd. Bear left on Circle Rd, then again at Conzulman Rd. Park at the end of Conzulman Rd.
